Written Overview: This book is really not branch specific, if it was supposed to be at all. There is a small section (13 pages) called “Cosmetics Used in Magic” near the end of the book but compared with the other 400 or so pages its more about herbs and what they can do for you than anything else. I think this book would be a great book for anyone interested in a more natural ways to take care of their body, especially those with the time and resources to make them. Furthermore it’s sectioned beautifully! It starts what a simple table listing what you use for what/on where; followed by a glossary so you’re familiar with the term-ology rather than having to flip back to the back; then it goes into the details of each plant. (This ordering was very helpful for me because when I first got it I had specific things I wanted to work on first. I got the plants I should keep in mind up front, then what forms and terms I needed to know before starting, and then finally I could dive into understanding the plants and what I could do with them further.
